Boy Scouts

Meetings to be held typically on the first and third Mondays of each month at 6:30 -7:30pm at CAS unless otherwise noted. Please check date and times to verify.

These events are for our Pack and there are many other opportunities for the Shelby District and Miami Valley Council level events we will inform you of when the information becomes available. We are part of the Miami Valley Council of the Boyscouts of America. You can find out more info on the internet about the Council and Scouting at www.mvcbsa.com.

08/16 – Elementary orientation Night – Cub Scout info available
08/29 – Recruiting day during elementary lunch time – Scouts wear uniforms to school
08/29 – Pack meeting @ CAS for scouts and all parents – 6:30 to 8:00pm – Popcorn training & kickoff (Krites snacks)

Sept 2011
09/03 – Piqua Heritage Festival family trip – 1:30pm - leave CAS and attend festival until approx. 4:00pm
09/11 – Sidney Applefest Parade – 2:30pm parade line up – wear your uniform (tentative)
09/19 – Pack meeting @ CAS – 6:30 - 7:30pm – Flag Ceremony practice (Smith’s Snacks)
09/21 – Chapel flag ceremony - Recruitment day during elementary lunch time – Scouts to wear uniforms to school

Oct 2011
10/3 – Pack meeting @ CAS – 6:30 - 7:30pm – Leaf rubbing and pine cone bird feeder
10/17 - Pack meeting @ CAS – 6:30pm to 7:30pm – Camping and outdoor skills
10/21 & 22 – Overnight campout at Marx’s Farm in Piqua (parent must attend with scout)

Nov 2011
11/7 – Pack meeting @ CAS – 6:30 - 7:30pm
11/21 – Pack meeting @ Smith’s house 6:30 -8:00pm - 10990 Fort Loramie-Swanders Road, Sidney – Cooking activities (allow for travel time and parents welcome to stay)

Dec 2011
12/5 – Pack meeting @ CAS – 6:30 - 7:30pm – Ornament making/crafts /Christmas party

Jan 2012
1/9 – Pack meeting @ Smith House – 6:30 – 8:00pm – Pinewood Derby car handout – woodcraft night –pinewood derby car stand
1/23 - Pack meeting @ CAS – 6:30 - 7:30pm
